Your day‑to‑day
* Provide a high standard of secretarial support to members of the medical team
* Maintain a good working relationship with clinicians and caring professionals
* Attend and take minutes at a variety of clinical meetings, hearings and tribunals
* Produce high‑quality admission and discharge summaries and tribunal reports
* Type minutes, care‑plan approach reports and care‑plan outcomes
* Create and maintain patient records and paper files.
* Scrutinise section papers and ensure relevant paperwork is present and correct
* Ensure diaries and spreadsheets are updated with listings of hearings
* Notify all parties concerned regarding report deadlines and dates of hearings
* Chase up reports for all tribunal and managers’ hearings
* Contact hospital managers and arrange their attendance at hearings
* Assist the tribunal clerk when required to set up rooms, prepare paperwork and liaise with the tribunal panel in the clerk’s absence

We Are Looking For Someone Who Is…
* Previous administration experience, including report preparation, organising meetings and liaising with customers/clients
* Service‑oriented, with medical secretary experience and knowledge of mental health
* Flexible, adaptable, organised and responsible
* An excellent typist, preferably RSA level 2, with audio transcription skills
* Calm under pressure and able to work independently and as part of a team
* A strong written and verbal communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and databases
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
