We are looking for a confident Assistant Psychologist with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You’ll be working full time, 37.5 hours a week (Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Hospital Stevenage – Secure Ward.
Location
Cygnet Hospital Stevenage – mental health hospital consisting of six wards (male low and medium secure, two male PICUs, one female acute and one male acute). Our recent CQC inspection gave an overall Good rating.
Role
Assistant Psychologist – Secure Ward. Full time, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00 (37.5 hours).
Job Responsibilities
* Administering and reporting psychometric assessments/outcome measures
* Developing clinical and risk formulations, and safety plans
* Developing and implementing care plans for psychological interventions
* Planning, delivering and evaluating individual/group treatment programmes
* Supporting with the development of Positive Behaviour Support plans
* Administration, audit, research and service development
* Contribute to the training and support of staff
* Access to regular clinical supervision
* Access to in person or online training
Qualifications
* Completed a degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent
* Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR) with the British Psychological Society
* Experience in health care and/or an Assistant Psychologist role, preferably in forensic services
* Passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team
