Job Title: Speech & Language Therapist, Adult Assessments - Huddersfield
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire (Hybrid 1-2 days minimum)

Salary: £35,000 - £85,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Full Time (Part Time available)
Our client is an award-winning, NHS and HSE approved practice dedicated to providing high-quality psychological care across the UK and Ireland. They offer services including neurodevelopmental and psychological assessments for adults and children, expert witness assessments for courts and parole boards, and assessments in criminal/prison law, family law, immigration law, and medico-legal cases. They have a proven track record of delivering high-quality assessments and NHS contracts.
The Role:
This role involves providing assessments to adults within a busy service, primarily in the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team for adults referred for autism and/or ADHD assessments via NHS Patient choice and their GP. The role is hybrid, requiring some remote work and attendance at the office.
The clinician will conduct comprehensive specialist assessments, including diagnostic assessments for suspected autism and/or ADHD using established diagnostic tools. Mental health assessments may also be part of the role. Assessments are conducted on behalf of the NHS via GP referral. The clinician will write assessment reports promptly, including recommendations and interventions. There may also be opportunities to supervise and support junior staff depending on experience.
Qualifications:
* HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist
* Must be eligible to work in the UK
* Experience in diagnostic neurodevelopmental/specialist developmental assessments with adults
* Experience working with adults with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health issues in a clinical setting
* Knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and assessment tools for autism and ADHD
* Knowledge of differential diagnosis
* Ideally ADOS-2/ADI-R trained
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
* Experience in report writing and record keeping
* Additional qualifications in autism and/or ADHD
* Clinical supervision experience is advantageous
