Role
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will provide the drive, experience, and expertise necessary to ensure the successful completion of control panels and automation assemblies to approved designs at our manufacturing facility. You will assist in coordinating the labor resources, parts, and materials required for assembly and provide close supervision to a team of fellow Panel Builders and supporting operatives.
About You
You are an experienced Panel Builder and supervisor, demonstrating broad capabilities in control panel assembly, testing, and completion of associated test/commissioning documentation. You also possess strong supervisory skills developed through your experience in a similar industrial sector.

Key Responsibilities
* Assemble, test, service, and rectify electrical control panels and automation equipment
* Determine and maintain efficient work procedures and techniques
* Communicate and adopt safe systems of work (RAMS) and observe Permit to Work requirements
* Engage in work rotas and task assignment
* Assess tasks for completeness and report issues or variations
* Complete control panel test reports and job documentation
* Ensure tools and equipment are certified and calibrated
* Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, and third parties
* Undertake specialist training and stay updated with statutory and legislative requirements
* Apply principles of continuous improvement to achieve best practices
You will need
* Over 5 years of experience in industrial control panel assembly
* A comprehensive toolkit for control panel assembly
* Experience working independently
* Excellent interpersonal, IT, and communication skills
* Team player with a customer-focused approach
Qualifications and Licences
* NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Services - Panel Wiring / Panel Builder or Mechanical Manufacture Engineering (fitting and assembly) or equivalent; Approved Apprenticeship in Panel Wiring / Panel Building (Required)
* ECS Gold Card - Wireman/Panel Builder (Desirable)
* FLT/Counterbalance Truck Licence (Desirable)
* SSSTS (Desirable)
