Role
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will leverage your drive, experience, and expertise to ensure the successful completion of control panels and automation assemblies according to approved designs at our manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating Labour Resources: Managing and allocating labour resources efficiently to meet project deadlines.
* Managing Parts and Materials: Ensuring the timely availability of necessary parts and materials for assembly tasks.
* Supervising the Team: Providing supervision and guidance to a team of panel builders and associated personnel, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
* Conducting Toolbox Talks: Regularly conducting toolbox talks to address safety issues, procedural updates, and best practices. This involves:
o Preparation: Selecting relevant topics, gathering materials, and scheduling talks.
o Engagement: Creating an open environment for discussion, using clear language, and incorporating visual aids.
o Delivery: Engaging delivery, explaining the importance of topics, and providing practical examples.
o Interaction: Encouraging participation, addressing concerns, and reinforcing key points.
o Follow-Up: Documenting talks, monitoring compliance, and providing feedback.
About You
You are an experienced Panel Builder and supervisor, demonstrating broad capabilities in control panel assembly and strong supervisory skills developed through work in a similar industrial sector.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise a small team of Panel Builders
* Assemble and check electrical control panels and automation equipment
* Determine and maintain efficient work procedures
* Communicate and observe safe systems of work (RAMS) and permit requirements
* Engage in work rota planning and task assignment
* Assess task completion and report issues
* Complete job documentation
* Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, and third parties
* Undertake training and stay updated with statutory requirements
* Apply continuous improvement principles for best practices
You will need
* Over 5 years’ experience in industrial control panel assembly
* A comprehensive toolkit for panel assembly
* Experience working independently
* Excellent interpersonal, IT, and communication skills
* Team player and customer-focused attitude
Qualifications and Licences
* NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Services - Panel Wiring/Panel Builder or Mechanical Manufacture Engineering (fitting and assembly) or equivalent, approved apprenticeship in Panel Wiring/Panel Building (Required)
* ECS Gold Card - Wireman/Panel Builder (Desirable)
* FLT/Counterbalance Truck Licence (Desirable)
* SSSTS (Desirable)
