Overview
Apprentice Library Assistant at Fleetwood Library, Lancashire. Temporary 2-year role, 37 hours per week, includes some evenings and weekends, over a two-week rota. This is a Library Apprentice position with a view to gaining a work-based qualification in Library, information and archive services, and training and support to assist in providing an efficient and effective library service.

Responsibilities
* Work with a team to offer a high-quality library and information service.
* Support and deliver a diverse range of events and activities.
* Encourage customers to access online information and resources (e.g., free eBooks and newspaper apps).
* Assist customers in finding reliable information (e.g., applying for a passport).
* Support colleagues and volunteers and work with partners to deliver a customer-focused service.
* Occasionally work at other locations and there may be some lone working.

* Excellent communication and digital skills.
* Ability to work with a range of partners and volunteers and deliver a customer-focused service.
* Aim to gain knowledge about the Library Service and complete work-based training to achieve the Library, information and archive services assistant qualification (Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education) in a timely manner.
