Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Chorley
£90 - £100 per day
About the Role
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our friendly and inclusive school. This is a vital role supporting students with a range of learning, emotional, and behavioural needs - both inside and outside of the classroom.
Whether you're supporting students 1:1, in small groups, or working closely with a teacher in a busy classroom, your impact will be significant every single day.
Key Responsibilities
* Support students with their learning in lessons across the curriculum
* Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils who need additional help
* Assist with classroom management and contribute to a calm, productive learning environment
* Help students develop confidence, independence, and resilience
* Use a range of strategies to support pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
* Track and record pupil progress and share feedback with teachers and SENCO
* Adapt learning materials under teacher direction to suit individual needs
* Supervise pupils during breaks, lunch, or school activities when required
You Will Need
* A genuine passion for working with children or young people
* Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
* The ability to work well as part of a team and take initiative when needed
* A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude to supporting learning
* An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
* (Desirable) Experience working with pupils with SEN, behavioural challenges, or learning difficulties
* (Desirable) A recognised TA or LSA qualification or a degree in education, psychology, or a related field
