M+D have just been given an amazing opportunity for a young polished enthusiastic Residential Designer to join a creative studio in London working across high net residential interiors in the UK and overseas. You will be a stand-alone designer who will get to experience sourcing exquisite hard and soft finishes from across the globe along with an understanding of high-level and low-level plans. Bespoke joinery will be outsourced but you will need to know the basics. On top of this you will get site experience. Roles like this don’t come across very often I can assure you. You will need to have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working on high profile residential interiors and be passionate about the sector and understanding of how discrete high net clients need to be. This role requires someone who is outgoing, resilient, keen to grow, ambitious, intelligent, client facing. proactive and takes direction.
Some skill sets required:
Develop concept designs,
mood boards, and material palettes.
Prepare interior layouts, architectural drawings, and presentation packages.
Manage projects from initial concept through to completion – with support
Handle or support planning permissions and approvals where required.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
Provide hands-on guidance on site, ensuring quality and design intent.
Source finishes, fixtures, and bespoke elements.
Assist in managing project timelines and budgets.
Background in Interior Design and or Architecture.
Strong eye for interiors that combine contemporary and traditional elements.
Hands on approach with confidence on site.
Ability and confidence to run projects independently but with some support
