A Primary School in the BS32 area is seeking a SEMH Learning Support Assistant to start immediately.
This role involves supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs by creating a safe and nurturing environment. The assistant will implement tailored strategies to help students manage behaviour, build resilience, and engage in learning. Collaboration with families and professionals is essential to provide holistic support.
The ideal candidate should be clear, concise, resilient, confident, and an active listener. Building trust through open communication is crucial, as is demonstrating empathy. Effective communication with both students and staff is required.
The position is full-time until the end of the academic year, with a high likelihood of extension into September.
You will be expected to:
