Part Time Senior Lecturer in Creative Non-Fiction (Fixed Term)
Part time, 24-month fixed term contract role. 0.5 FTE.
Location: Bath, Somerset – Newton Park.
Compensation: Grade Ac3A – Starting £24,411 rising to £28,268 per annum (pro rata £48,823 – £56,536).

About the role
Design and deliver teaching and assessment for the MA Nature and Travel Writing programme and contribute to undergraduate teaching and short courses in creative writing. Manage modules and assessments via the University’s virtual learning environment and engage in key activities such as student recruitment and open days.
Lead on curriculum and programme development in creative non‑fiction. Engage in relevant research and scholarly activity in support of the university’s research strategy, contribute to internal and external networks, and build productive relationships with external partners.
Supervise and mentor colleagues with less experience and advise on their personal development.
Qualifications
* Experience of university level learning, teaching and assessment in Creative Writing, including module leadership.
* Publication record in creative non‑fiction.
* Knowledge and experience of creative non‑fiction sector/market.
* Experience of curriculum design.
* Relevant research degree and experience.
* Interest in pedagogic innovation and working with external partners.
* Experience of programme/course leadership.
* Experience of programme design/development.
* Understanding of HE QA processes and landscape in relation to Creative Writing.
Special conditions
* Applicants with less than five years teaching experience in Higher Education of at least 0.8 FTE or equivalent who do not hold a Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Certificate accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or HEA fellowship will be required to complete an approved Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education course during the first two years of employment.
* Applicants with more than five years teaching experience in Higher Education of at least 0.8 FTE or equivalent who do not hold a Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Certificate accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or HEA fellowship will be required to accredit their practice through the HEA fellowship application process during their 6 month probation period.
