Together, we will become the world's leading cancer reference laboratory.Position Summary:The Director, Strategic Accounts, Pharma Services, leads development efforts that best address customer needs while coordinating the involvement of all necessary teams. The Director, Strategic Accounts, Pharma Services, will be responsible for building out a customer base, working collaboratively and in conjunction with all levels of the sales organization to ensure successful attainment of established goals and objectives.Core Responsibilities:
1. Drive strategic business expansion/collaboration opportunities with major pharmaceutical companies in the designated territory.
2. Build strategic relationships with key customer stakeholders (sourcing/procurement, scientific leaders, lab managers etc.)
3. Structure detailed strategic plans for gaining and retaining new and existing clients
4. Collaborate and coordinate with all sales positions (Divisional VPs, Regional Directors and Territory Business Managers) to ensure successful attainment of company goals and objectives
5. Identify and develop partnering opportunities between prospective pharmaceutical companies and NeoGenomics including but not limited to: Clinical Trials and Product Development
6. Continually analyze competitive landscape and environment within assigned accounts to determine trends and provide customer feedback to NeoGenomics leadership team
7. Closely coordinates company executive involvement with customer management
8. Monitor performance of sales to ensure objectives are met
9. Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan for the territory that will be inclusive of budgets, travel, territory management, goal setting, etc.
10. Work effectively with individuals across multiple departments throughout NeoGenomics. May have direct report staff assigned to support responsibilities for specific customers
11. Create statements of work for customer projects based upon customer requirements with the support of the pharma services team
12. Provides leadership and input to Directors, Strategic Accounts, Pharma Services, as requested in addition to day-to-day to support
13. All other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President, Pharma Services
Experience, Education and Qualifications:
14. Bachelors of Science in a Life Science, Biology, or business-related field required. Masters preferred.
15. 5+ years of direct account management experience in a laboratory setting working with pharmaceutical companies with a history of proven performance that has met and exceeded expectations
16. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical services and the evolving competitive landscape
17. Ability to maintain an outstanding level of market, customer, distribution and product knowledge necessary to accomplish sales and marketing objectives
18. Excellent knowledge of molecular pathology, oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics and targeted agents
19. Excellent negotiation and customer service skills
20. Outstanding strategic sales account planning skills
21. Superior listening and problem-solving skills
22. Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a very high level of confidentiality
23. Demonstrate consistent closing abilities throughout the sales cycle
24. Possess a very positive attitude and an understanding of the dynamics involved with organizational growth and change
25. Impeccable oral and verbal communication and presentation skills
26. Must be very proficient with all Microsoft Office products – particularly Excel and PowerPoint
27. Effective and regular utilization of Salesforce.com
28. Ability to develop and utilize cross-functional relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals and objectives
29. Advanced presentation skills and business acumen a necessity
30. Ability to work effectively with minimal direction from, or interface with, manager
