1. Carry out all monthly, quarterly, annual balance sheet reconciliations.
2. Reconcile acquisitions and disposals of force assets.
3. Control and coordinate allocated specialist functions, ensuring costs are accurately coded, recorded, and monitored.
4. Analyze and update staff costings, special costings, and national framework agreement costings.
5. Assist with completing external government returns.
6. Complete month-end tasks, working with BI and reports.
7. Handle ad hoc requests for financial data.
Profile
A successful Interim Finance Officer should have:
1. A full AAT qualification or be working towards it.
2. Experience in a financial environment, including budget control and year-end procedures.
3. Ability to analyze, critically evaluate, and interpret financial information.
4. Experience using a computerized financial information system in a medium to large organization.
5. Experience working with a general ledger.
6. Knowledge of financial controls, rules, and regulations.
7. Experience with Oracle is an advantage but not essential.
8. Experience in the public sector is an advantage but not essential.
