Sports Coach (Kick Start) (Temporary)

6 hours per week
Based within our venues throughout North Lanarkshire, you will work within our Sports Development Kickstart Project, working at various leisure centres throughout North Lanarkshire. The kickstart programme is designed to offer any mental health, addiction, and recovery service users over the aged 18+ the opportunity to attend weekly football sessions at North Lanarkshire Council Venues. The projects objectives are to improve the health and wellbeing of participants whilst encouraging positive attitudes towards physical activity and the community.
You must possess a relevant sports qualification and as part of a strong, established team of coaches, you will be responsible for planning, organising and delivering an appropriate range of sports activities. You will be a dynamic and experienced sports coach who will inspire young people to achieve their full potential and to deliver top quality sessions.
As a requirement of these posts, the successful candidates must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) membership through Disclosure Scotland.
These posts are funded for a period up to 31 March .
Work Pattern
Monday – 2pm to 4pm, Thursday 2pm to 4pm and Friday 4pm to 6pm
