We’re working with a Good to Outstanding specialist setting in Leeds who are supporting pupils with SEMH and ASC across multiple sites. No two days are the same, and that’s exactly how we like it.
About the role:
You’ll be teaching students with diverse needs—so flexibility, patience, and a sense of humour are essential. Your week might include a mix of whole class lessons, small group work, and 1:1 interventions. You'll have the chance to build real, lasting relationships and help young people build confidence and life skills.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Planning and delivering creative, adaptable lessons that meet varied needs
2. Creating a safe, engaging space where students can thrive
3. Teaching practical strategies pupils can use beyond the classroom
4. Providing regular assessment and meaningful feedback
5. Supporting behaviour calmly and constructively
6. Collaborating with the wider school team to make a real impact
You’ll be great if you:
7. Hold QTS or are an ECT with SEND placement experience
8. Have taught across Primary, Secondary, or vocational subjects
9. Know your way around behaviour support (Team Teach training? Even better!)
10. Are confident teaching in SEND schools, PRUs, or alternative provisions
11. Understand how to support pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, or complex needs
12. Can commute between sites and bring consistency to your teaching
