Job Purpose
The Credit Risk Manager is part of the Risk Oversight Department within the second line of defense with specific responsibilities within ICEU. The candidate will be a key member of the team responsible for counterparty risk management, including carrying out all aspects of the day-to-day risk management duties and assisting in developing and implementing enhancements to the risk management tools, models, and processes. The clearing house faces different types of companies as counterparties, including banks, corporates, brokers, and futures commission merchants, among others.
Responsibilities
1. Oversight of production of risk reports and dashboards for committees and stakeholders.
2. Produce detailed counterparty credit risk reviews and provide recommendations.
3. Conduct counterparty onboarding and ensure compliance with eligibility criteria.
4. Understand internal credit scoring risk drivers and analyze financial statements.
5. Engage with external counterparties for credit reviews and business updates.
6. Prepare and present materials for credit review meetings.
7. Monitor risk metrics using data sources, models, and tools; explain incidents supported by facts.
8. Ensure compliance with rules, policies, and procedures.
9. Assist with information requests from auditors, regulators, etc.
10. Contribute to the development or improvement of tools, models, and processes.
Knowledge And Experience
* Bachelor’s, Master’s, or advanced degree in finance, mathematics, or related discipline.
* Experience in Financial Services Credit Risk Management or similar analytical roles.
* Strong understanding of financial statements and key market indicators like CDS and shares.
* Experience with credit risk models.
* Knowledge of financial markets, infrastructure, and regulations.
* Analytical, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
* Effective communication skills for senior management interaction.
* Intermediate Excel; SQL and Tableau are desirable.
* Experience in a Clearing House or related field is preferred but not essential.
