Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Business Development Director to develop effective supplier relationships to maximise customer sales opportunities.
* Build and maintain relationships with customer procurement teams, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and Site Agents.
* Maximise opportunities to continually learn about new products and to improve selling skills.
* Develop, own and manage key accounts.
* Support the achievement of sales targets for new products whilst maintaining growth on existing products.
* Seek out opportunities to identify future and existing sales opportunities within the area.
* Work closely with branch teams to deliver outstanding service.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of the construction or building materials sector, is essential.
* Experience of managing a portfolio or working towards account growth on specific customers.
* Pipeline and opportunity management.
* Forecasting and reporting.
* Excellent communication.
* Problem solving.
* Awareness of pricing, supply chain and procurement process.
