We are seeking a committed individual to join us at Central Locality Hub as a full time Facilitator. To provide high quality universal and targeted sessions for families with children of all ages from 0-18 (25 if SEND). Provide a variety of targeted family services according to the need of the families. Involving parents/carers in their children's learning and supporting them to access the whole range of Family Hub services. The post holder may be required to work in any locality.
Key experience and skills required
- To work with the Family Hub Managers to provide universal and targeted support, advice and guidance to parents and carers aimed at giving the children the best possible start in life.
- To deliver high quality universal and targeted sessions for families and their children from 0-18 (25 if SEND).
- To plan, deliver all universal and targeted sessions in line with the agreed LA processes and be able to evaluate the impact they have on family outcomes.
- To acknowledge that parents are the child's first educator and help parents play and interact with their child in creative and stimulating way.
- To offer advice, support and guidance to parents and carers on their child's education, health and welfare.
- To work closely with partner agencies, particularly Social Care and Health in promoting partnership working to meeting the needs of the family.
- To support the Family Hubs to engage those families that are hard to reach.
- Attend the required meetings within the Family Hubs and/or with agencies to suit the needs of the service delivery.
- Willingness to attend training.
Qualifications essential to the role:
Child Care qualification equal to NVQ Level 3, knowledge of child development, with an ability to plan for different ages and understanding of parenting strategies.
Ability to use a variety of computer packages.
Valid UK drivers' licence and use of car.
Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this post.
