Water Resources Manager - 32733 at Environment Agency. Lead the Operations Catchment Services department to deliver national water resources services, with a focus on ensuring reliable water supplies for people, business, and the environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert input to the National Framework for Water Resources
* Manage programmes to deliver sustainable abstraction
* Drought planning and drought management
* Develop talent and skills in water planning
* Lead national modelling for water resources and groundwater
* Shaping and scrutinising Water companies\' statutory Water Resource Management Plans
Leadership and People
* Lead and develop a department of over 70 technical experts; champion health, safety and wellbeing; foster inclusion; support growth and development of staff
* Lead the operational delivery of services, ensuring resources are used effectively, priorities are met, and performance is demonstrable
* Take a wider leadership role as part of the Operations Catchment Services Leadership Team
Team and Environment
Operations Catchment Services is a national service with around 240 people, providing expertise in water and environmental planning, water company account management, and data analysis. The team acts as the centre of technical excellence for water resources and water quality planning.
