Location: Westbury, Wiltshire – Commercial Contract Area (some regional travel; flexible base location)
Salary: From £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week – flexible start/finish times; approx. 70% field-based, 30% office-based
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contract Manager within grounds maintenance or soft landscaping to lead the delivery of one of the region’s most complex and high-profile commercial contracts. This role involves managing a portfolio of approximately 130 contracts, providing a diverse range of day-to-day responsibilities and significant growth opportunities.
As Contract Manager, you will oversee operational performance, financial outcomes, client relationships, team development, and compliance with health and safety standards. With full P&L responsibility, this role offers the opportunity to scale the contract from a turnover of £1 million to £2 million.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of approximately 130 commercial contracts, ensuring consistently high standards.
* Manage day-to-day operations while maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with clients.
* Take full P&L accountability, working strategically to grow the contract and improve profitability.
* Lead a team of around 15 staff, promoting health and safety best practices across all activities.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in managing multiple complex contracts in grounds maintenance or landscaping.
* Strong commercial awareness, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and business development.
* A hands-on background in the industry, ideally with a route of progression from operational roles.
* Effective leadership and team management skills, with a client-focused approach.
* Ability to prioritise workload across multiple sites, self-motivated, with a full UK driving licence.
