Branch Sales Contracts Manager – Edinburgh (Lead, Motivate, Inspire)

Role Summary

The Branch Sales Contracts Manager supports the Branch Manager in managing the sales, service and profitability of our contract‑based customers within the branch. You will maintain and improve the operational performance of the branch and in‑branch contract customers, ensuring delivery of contractual requirements agreed with clients. You will produce daily, weekly and monthly reports to demonstrate performance against agreed KPIs and contract‑specific management data.


Responsibilities

* Coach the team to deliver the highest standards of service.
* Act as a pivotal contact for customers, nurturing relationships, understanding their needs and offering expert advice to maximise sales.
* Ensure all colleagues and customers leave the branch safely, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
* Support the Branch Manager in managing all aspects of the customers' business, being commercially aware.
* Attend regular meetings to present and explain management data to clients and stakeholders.
* Design and implement improvements to service measures and overall service quality.
* Manage contractual aspects such as van stock processes, stock reporting and scheduling mechanisms.


Experience & Qualifications

* Previous experience within a builders merchant is advantageous but not essential.
* Transferable skills: inspirational leadership, operational management, sales experience, great customer service.
* Excellent IT planning and presentation skills.
