* Safety Case production and management e.g. engineering changes, safety reports (PSRs, PCSRs etc).
* Hazard and Risk identification and assessment studies, e.g. FMEA, HAZOP, ALARP.
* Internal and External Hazard assessments.
* Deterministic and Probabilistic Safety Assessments (PSA).
* Nuclear Licensing and Authorisations.
* Integrating safety principles into engineering designs.
* Structural Integrity design/assessment of nuclear related structures and components.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering technical work to support the demonstration that a facility or system can be operated safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Liaising with clients to understand their challenges and developing solutions.
* Representing the business in technical meetings with clients, regulators and other third parties.
* Helping to maintain the technical capability/knowledge of the community and mentoring junior team members (as appropriate).
Qualifications
* A degree (or equivalent demonstrable experience) in a STEM discipline.
* Experience of executing project tasks against relevant standards and best practices.
* Good communication skills and ability to articulate information to a broad range of stakeholders.
* Chartered Member of a professional institute (or equivalent demonstrable experience) or working towards either Chartered or Incorporated.
* Engineer status with a relevant professional body.
