Finance & Performance Accountant – Maternity Cover
(with Potential for Permanent Role)

We are seeking a high-caliber Finance & Performance Accountant to join our central finance team to cover maternity leave. Role Overview
This is a commercially focused role suited to a qualified accountant with strong analytical capability, sound judgement, and the confidence to engage with senior operational and non-financial stakeholders. The role will sit at the centre of strategic decision-making and operational performance improvement across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
The role has three core areas of responsibility:
1. Feasibility & Financial Modelling
· Develop robust feasibility studies for target hotels, acquisitions, and capital development projects.
· Prepare integrated financial projections including P&L, KPIs cash flow, and balance sheet forecasts.
· Support investment appraisal, funding discussions, and Board-level decision-making.
2. Portfolio Synergies & Performance Excellence
· Analyse performance across the 20-hotel portfolio to identify synergies and best-in-class practices.
· Identify hotels or departments performing exceptionally well and assess transferability of those practices to other properties.
· Work with operational teams to implement proven initiatives across the wider group.
3. Systems, Process Improvement & Technology
· Review routine and repetitive finance and operational procedures and work-flows across the group.
· Identify opportunities for improved systems, automation.
· Assist in the evaluation and application of new technologies, including automation and AI-driven tools, to improve accuracy, speed, and insight.
Candidate Profile
· Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred.
· Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insight.
· Confident, professional, and presentable, with the ability to work effectively with both financial and non-financial executives.
· Experience in financial modelling, projections and feasibility analysis is essential.
· Strong systems mindset with a genuine interest in process improvement, automation, and emerging technologies.
· Well-organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
Proven ability to work unsupervised is essential.

Additional Information
· Initial appointment will be on a maternity cover basis, with strong possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.
· Some travel to hotels will be required; candidates must have their own transport (mileage will be paid).
