Charity Jobs NI (part of the Happy Jobs group) is partnering with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful to recruit a proactive, organized, and dedicated Local Environmental Quality Coordinator for their LEQ team. About Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful: A charity dedicated to enhancing the environment and communities, promoting sustainable living, and creating a greener future for Northern Ireland.
About the Role: You will coordinate and project manage environmental quality and certification programs, work closely with the Local Environmental Quality Manager, and ensure effective delivery and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordination: Manage resources and deliver program outputs within budget and deadlines.
2. Project Management: Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of initiatives.
3. Surveying and Certifications: Coordinate programs like Blue Flag, Green Flag, and conduct surveys.
4. Community Engagement: Promote participation and expand coverage.
5. Communications: Act as primary contact, respond to inquiries, represent the charity, and prepare content.
6. Research Support: Assist in research, policy analysis, and stay updated on methodologies.
7. Authority and Decision-making: Manage stakeholder communications, oversee work, and assist in marketing.

Qualifications & Experience:
* Essential: Relevant degree or 3 years' experience, 1 year in surveying/auditing, 2 years program delivery, 1 year staff supervision.
* Desirable: Experience in data analysis, voluntary sector, or local government.
Skills: Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office).
Licence: Full driving license and transport access.
Knowledge & Understanding:
* Essential: Environmental issues.
* Desirable: Behaviour change principles.
Personal Qualities: Independent and team working, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements: Occasional travel and flexible hours. Core hours 10am-4pm, Monday to Friday. Hybrid (2 days in Belfast).
Salary: £30,328
Contract: Permanent, subject to funding.
This role is partially funded through the DAERA Environment Fund.
