We are seeking a passionate Design and Technology Teacher to work in an Outstanding secondary school located in York. We are open to both early career teachers and experienced teachers.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and curiosity.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
Contribute to the development of the DT curriculum.
Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop/classroom.
Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and CPD opportunities.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching Design and Technology at KS3 and KS4.
Strong subject knowledge across a range of DT disciplines (e.g., food tech, textiles, resistant materials, graphics).
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
