SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Preston, PR1) Start Date: April 2026 Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:45am–3:30pm Pay Rate: Competitive – £14.30 per hour Contract: Full-time, long-term About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school based in the Preston (PR1) area. This full-time position involves providing 1:1 support for multiple children across KS1, helping them access learning and thrive in the classroom environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver 1:1 SEN support for pupils across Key Stage 1. Assist with personalised learning strategies tailored to individual needs. Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement support plans. Promote a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment. Encourage engagement, independence and emotional wellbeing. Essential Requirements Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs. A patient, empathetic and resilient approach to working with young learners. Ability to adapt support strategies to meet a range of needs.
