Role: Production Operator
Location: Pontypandy Industrial Estate, Caerphilly CF83 3GL
Rate: £12.91ph (Agency terms) (£26,516 per annum)

Responsibilities:
*
Production line role involved in the manufacture of steel lintels or metal profile products
*
Must be capable of working on a production line with a good level of dexterity and the ability to handle product & equipment
*
Must be able to work on their own or as part of a production team
*
Must have the ability to consistently meet production run rate targets
*
Must be willing to work flexibly across a range of production related support roles
*
Ability to drive a fork lift truck would be an advantage
*
Ensure that products produced are correct to drawing at all times, and recorded, labelled and stored according to CATNIC policy and guidelines.
*
Once trained, be able to operate machinery / equipment in an efficient, safe and productive manner and to good standards of workmanship in order to deliver the required levels of customer service.
Essential requirements:
*
Experience of working in a heavy industry environment would be preferred
*
The ability to operate and / or set up machinery and equipment
*
The ability to demonstrate qualities of flexibility, an ability to adapt, initiative, drive and commitment.
*
The ability to work safely under pressure and to tight timescales
*
The ability to work overtime when required would be a distinct advantage
*
Good all round education with strong numeracy, literacy, IT skills, with strong mechanical aptitude and spatial intelligence.
A current RTITB license to operate Side Loading Truck (SLT) and Front Loading Truck (FLT) would be useful to your application.
