Head of New Business Sales
£55,000 + £5,000 car allowance
OTE: £90,000 (uncapped commission)
Additional Reward: Annual Profit Share (up to 4% of annual salary)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:45am–5:30pm
We are seeking a results-driven Head of New Business Sales to lead a high-velocity inside sales operation. This role is responsible for day-to-day leadership, performance delivery, and operational excellence across a large Business Development function.
You will lead 40 Business Development Managers and 2 Senior Salesfloor Managers, driving new business acquisition and upsell of HR, Health & Safety, and Payroll software and advisory solutions. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced call-centre sales environments and leads from the front.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and inspire a large B2B sales team to exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs
* Own and demonstrate the full sales cycle from lead generation to close
* Develop Sales Managers and Team Leaders through structured coaching and performance management
* Monitor sales floor activity, pipeline health, conversion rates, and compliance (FCA)
* Deliver regular sales meetings, training sessions, and 1:1s in line with business process
* Collaborate with Workforce Management, Training, Data, and Campaign teams to optimise performance
* Build strong relationships with prospects and senior decision-makers
* Provide detailed performance reporting, forecasting, and insights to senior leadership
About You
* Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within a high-volume, fast-paced sales environment
* Strong background in B2B sales,
* Demonstrable success managing large teams and multiple layers of leadership
* Confident in managing performance, conduct, and coaching at scale
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and commercial skills
* Experienced with CRM and sales engagement tools (e.g. Salesforce, Genesys, NICE, Microsoft Teams)
