Job Summary
Clinical Governance Lead – Brentwood Hospital, Nursing. Permanent contract, full‑time or part‑time flexible working considered. Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience. 37.5 hours per week. The role provides strong clinical leadership and scrutiny of all matters relating to the quality of clinical care delivery and works alongside Senior Clinical Leaders and key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Champion the organisation's brand values
* Drive continuous improvement
* Maintain data quality and data analysis capabilities
* Lead reporting and escalation processes, e.g. Board and Incident Reporting, to guide quality learning and decision‑making
* Work alongside other Senior Clinical and Medical Leaders to deliver quality assurance and improvement activity, supporting clinical effectiveness, patient safety, regulatory compliance, patient feedback and professional development
* Lead the development, review and oversight of Clinical Policies and SOPs, ensuring effective management of the clinical policy catalogue
* Provide advice, guidance and subject‑matter expertise on governance processes to all involved in the leadership of clinical care
* Support the maintenance and achievement of clinical and/or organisational accreditation, e.g. ISO 9001, and facilitate successful certification
Qualifications
* Registered clinician (NMC, HCPC or GPC) with a degree/post‑graduate level education in a clinical discipline
* Relevant qualifications in organisational governance, e.g. ISO 9001 Auditor or equivalent
Experience
* Senior leadership experience within the healthcare sector, with significant experience in clinical governance and quality assurance
* Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to work proactively and efficiently
