Job Responsibilities:
1. Manages the tanker fleet and drivers to ensure customer requirements are met while maintaining driver and vehicle compliance. Develops contingency plans for leave, sickness, and vehicle failure. Supports day-to-day breakdowns and incidents.
2. Oversees the waste management sub-contract to ensure Veolia's waste is managed efficiently, innovations are identified, and compliance is maintained. Maintains positive customer relationships.
3. Manages costs related to fleet maintenance, sub-contractors, employee expenses, and fuel to ensure budgets are met.
4. Ensures a safe working environment through proactive management of Safety, Health, and Environment policies, complying with all legislative, company, and client procedures.
5. Supports the growth of the Total Waste Management business by identifying opportunities, responding to tenders, mobilising, and managing jobs.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Experience working in operations delivery.
* Previous experience with financial management, quality, compliance, and SHE.
* Experience managing people and developing effective teams.
* Experience within Waste, Engineering, or Environmental services.
* CPC qualification (desirable).
* Ability to manage a fleet.
