About the role
Connex Education is working with a mainstream primary school in the Middlesbrough area who are recruiting for a Primary Teaching Assistant to work full-time, working within the schools Special Educational needs Hub supporting children across EYFS to KS2 who have complex needs. You MUST have the right to work in the UK to apply for this role.
About the school
This Middlesbrough primary school seeks a dedicated SEND Primary Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and group support for pupils with additional needs. You’ll work closely with the SENCO and Hub Team to contribute to education health care plans, and join a supportive team of specialists. The role involves working with individuals and small groups in a nurturing environment focused on helping every child thrive.
Assignment Details
This is a full time role working Monday to Friday, the right candidate MUST be able to work form 8:30am – 3:30pm. Experience working with children in a primary or nursery environment is essential for this role. This role is ongoing and is to start ASAP. For the right candidate there is a potential opportunity to secure a permanent contract with this school.

Person Specification
7. Hold a Relevant Qualification in SEND or Teaching Assistant – desirable
8. Have experience of supporting pupils in a school or similar setting
9. Be confident working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis
10. Good Knowledge of different types of Special Needs
11. Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one with Connex
