Our client is a reputable and professional firm with a client base across Scotland and multiple offices. They are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join their team due to increasing business, referrals, and professional connections, as well as recruiting another adviser.
This is a rare opportunity, mainly due to their low staff turnover.
The role involves working closely with Financial Planners, with the option and encouragement to participate in client meetings. The ideal candidate will be the go-to person in the technical team, adding value from day one. The Paraplanner will act as an ambassador for the Chartered Financial Advisers and handle ad hoc client inquiries, requiring a capable and mature approach.
The responsibilities include creating suitability reports, 'reasons why' letters, and ensuring compliance with RDR standards. There may also be opportunities to train and mentor less experienced administrators.
Qualifications and experience: diploma qualified, experienced in whole of market IFA work (or provider), currently a Paraplanner or Senior administrator seeking career progression. Flexibility is possible for the right individual, with additional knowledge of pension exams (e.g., AF7), Intelligent Office, and platforms like Standard Life, AJ Bell, Old Mutual being advantageous but not essential.
The firm is authorized for DB transfers and has increasing workloads in pensions, requiring strong knowledge of Pensions and Investments.
In return, they offer an attractive salary and package, with flexibility for part-time work and the option to work from Edinburgh a few days a week if needed.
