An exciting opportunity for a part‑time Assessment Advisor has become available within the Salford Assist Team offering support and advice to people who are in need of various forms of support.
Role Overview
The role involves undertaking a holistic assessment and evaluation of applications made to the service, ensuring scheme criteria is applied and making informed decisions on the course of action to be taken.
Responsibilities
About the Role: The Assessment Adviser position is an extremely busy role and there is an expectation that the post holder is able to manage their own workload and yet work as part of a team, to ensure all the responsibilities and deadlines in relation to supporting the service are considered and acted upon within agreed timescales.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work under pressure and show flexibility in order to meet the needs of the service
* Excellent organisational skills
* Possess a good understanding of positive team working and be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with the team, other council services and partner organisations
* Experience of working with vulnerable people
* Experience of ICT systems
Employment Details
Please note this is a fixed‑term position until 31st March 2027 upon employment into this vacancy.
Working Arrangement
This is a hybrid working vacancy with 1 office day (Thursday) and 1 remote day (Friday).
DBS & Cost
Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £21.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £5.38 per month.
DBS Reversal
If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £21.50.
