Graduate - Learning Support Assistant
A specialist school based in Witney is seeking a motivating and empathetic graduate to join their friendly team as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA). In this role, you will support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates considering a career in psychology, neurodiversity, education or mental health. The school caters to children and young people aged 3 to 16 with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, communication challenges, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Responsibilities
* As an LSA, you will work both in and out of the classroom, offering personalised support that encourages emotional, social and academic growth.
* You will also help deliver interventions focused around emotional regulation and promoting self-expression.
* The school uses creative, hands-on learning so expect lessons in music, cooking, drama, dance and art.
* Sensory-based learning and restorative practices are also key parts of the curriculum - as an LSA, you will help support with this, as well as rolling out other therapeutic techniques, often used in child psychology.
