We have a fantastic opportunity for a Preceptorship Psychologist to join our integrated mental health team across HMP Fosse Way and HMP Five Wells, both category C prisons, supporting males aged 21+. The role involves working with a broad range of complex presentations and requires familiarity with adult mental health, neurodiversity, complex trauma and trauma‑informed approaches. You will support the clinical leadership team and contribute to the development of the psychological therapies service. The position includes supervision of Assistant Psychologists, and supervision training can be provided as part of the preceptorship.
Hours and Salary
Monday to Friday, 9am‑5pm – 2.5 days on each site.
Salary: up to £56,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties
* Provide clinical support and oversight to the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT) through training, supervision and reflective practice
* Undertake psychological assessments and support complex multi‑disciplinary formulations
* Deliver and oversee 1:1 psychological interventions and group interventions as part of the Trauma‑Informed "Making Sense" Programme
* Deliver teaching and training to healthcare and prison staff where required
* Contribute to audit, service evaluation and research as appropriate

Qualifications and experience
* Full HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist
* Evidence‑based psychological therapies relevant to prison populations
* Understanding of complex mental health issues and presentations
* Experience delivering evidence‑based psychological interventions to adults with a range of mental health problems
* Experience working with mental health forensic populations
* Experience with CBT, Compassion‑focused therapies, etc.
* Legal right to work in the UK
