Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be 25 or older and responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through effective communication and efficient service.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a van to deliver goods to designated locations.
Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and heavy lifting as required.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transport.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure roadworthiness.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in commercial driving is preferred.
Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience driving vans or lorries is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle physical demands of the job.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
Familiarity with local routes and navigation systems is beneficial.
