A Staffordshire based food manufacturing company are looking to recruit a multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer for their production facility in Lichfield.
As a multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be part of a shift of 3 engineers to provide engineering support to the production area for reactive and proactive maintenance of plant, equipment, and any auxiliary systems.
The site is part of a group of sites/businesses across the UK / Europe.
Due to a recent change in the senior engineering team, lots of positive change is occurring and the company is developing a fully embraced culture where everyone's opinion counts and will be listened to.
Role
* Multi‑skilled, ideally electrically biased (mechanical bias with good electrical skills will be considered)
* Panama shift – Days and Nights (12‑hour shifts) 7‑7

Key Responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer
* Assist the team to work towards maximum plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimised
* Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full
* Ensure good repair/manufacturing practices and procedures are followed
* Ensure completion of planned maintenance documents / CMMS
* Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets
* Contribute to cost‑reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements
Experience and Skills Required
* Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G’s or NVQ Level 3 or ideally ONC/HNC level
* Multi‑skilled, electrically biased with some mechanical skills/experience
* Apprenticeship trained
* Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production
* Must have food sector experience
