About The Role
As HR Advisor, you will provide high-quality HR support, guidance, and advice to line managers on all ER-related matters and train line managers in applying HR policies, procedures, and processes. Please note this role is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.
You will support the Senior HR Advisor and HR Services Manager in delivering an exceptional HR advisory service and collaborate with other members of the People Team and functions across HC-One.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Providing high-quality HR advice and guidance to facilitate early resolution of employee relations (ER) issues, managing associated risks effectively.
* Managing ER cases such as conduct, performance management, grievance/whistleblowing, absence management, and complex cases, coaching line managers and investigating officers from initial contact to completion.
* Escalating complex ER cases to the Senior HR Advisor and/or HR Manager for continued support.
* Ensuring advice is provided promptly within SLA and by the appropriate person.
* Identifying and reporting themes and trends from case work and queries to senior team members.
* Providing HR Policy and Procedure training to line managers.
* Supporting strategic HR projects across the employee lifecycle and various HR disciplines.
* Sharing HR knowledge within the team to ensure consistency and growth.
* Maintaining high customer service standards, prioritizing colleague experience.
* Keeping accurate records of HR cases and queries, ensuring proper documentation.
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures in line with employment legislation.
* Staying informed on employment law, case law, legislative changes, and best practices, sharing insights for continuous improvement.
* Meeting all personal and departmental deadlines.
* Promoting a professional image of the company.

About You
You are qualified to CIPD Level 3 or have at least 3 years’ experience managing high-volume ER cases, with a commitment to completing CIPD qualification. You have at least 2 years’ experience concluding ER cases confidently and sensitively, with a good understanding of GDPR.
You possess a commercially focused approach, up-to-date employment law knowledge, and the ability to interpret policies to find pragmatic solutions. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail are essential. You are IT literate, capable of analyzing management information, and know how to escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately.
