Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Junior Lawyer to join the compliance function of the team at Teledyne. You will report to the General Counsel for Digital Imaging (Europe, EMEA and APAC).
Your responsibilities:
1. Compliance and Risk Management:
o Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance programs, including our ethics and data privacy programs.
o Assist in identifying and mitigating legal risks related to business operations.
2. Corporate Governance:
o Maintain corporate records and filings.
o Support the preparation of board resolutions and ensure compliance with corporate governance standards.
o Provide day-to-day legal advice to internal teams on a variety of matters, regulatory compliance, and general corporate matters.
o Conduct legal research and draft memos, policies, and guidelines as needed.
o Assist in managing disputes and litigation, including coordinating with external counsel when necessary.
o Help resolve internal and external legal issues efficiently and effectively.
3. Mergers and Acquisitions: Assisting with due diligence of potential acquisition targets and the integration of newly acquired businesses.
4. Reviewing and Advising: Reviewing and advising on NDA's and other commercial agreements.
5. Training and Education: Help deliver training sessions to staff on legal topics, such as data protection, intellectual property, or contract management.
Your Experience:
1. Legal experience (1 year, required)
2. Commercial experience or experience in reviewing commercial contracts
