Are you an experienced Multi Trade Operative, carpentry and plumbing, with extra skills such as tiling and plaster? Our Wiltshire team is looking for the right person to join their Response team.
You’ll be completing carpentry and plumbing responsive repair works in our customers' homes in the Wiltshire region. Internally, you’ll be known as a carpenter level 2 or plumber level 2 depending on your main skillset. You’ll work in customers’ homes with a customer service focus and a commitment to delivering a great job every time. Your day will vary, with a number of jobs completed per day and work shared via a handheld device (PDA). Primarily you’ll work alone but you’ll be part of the wider responsive repairs & voids team for support when needed.
Responsibilities
* Complete carpentry and plumbing responsive repair works in customers’ homes in the Wiltshire region.
* Utilise additional skills (e.g., tiling, plaster) where required and support the team with other skills.
* Manage work using a handheld device/PDA and, where applicable, coordinate with other teams.
* Maintain a strong customer service focus and aim to repair at first visit where possible.
* Work mainly independently while staying connected with the wider responsive repairs & voids team for assistance.
What You’ll Need
* A carpentry or plumbing qualification, NVQ or equivalent.
* Ability to identify causes and specify materials required to rectify carpentry issues.
* Additional skills such as tiling and plastering.
* Confident IT user; able to manage van stock electronically and work with an iPad.
* Experience working with diverse teams and communicating with internal and external customers; strong customer service orientation.
* Full UK manual driving licence and willingness to work in the Wiltshire area with occasional travel to other regional teams.
* Flexible approach to work and willingness to participate in an out-of-hours rota; compliance with facefit regulations.
