* Experience working with executive leadership, communicating challenges and risks while proposing new solutions.
* Experience working with globally distributed teams.
* Understanding of AI and robotics.
Preferred qualifications
* Experience managing collaborations with external partners.
* Experience managing the preparation and delivery of demos in collaboration with research, marketing, and communication teams.
* Experience working collaboratively with product management teams.
About the job
At DeepMind Robotics we are pioneering bringing AI to the physical world. We are powering an era of physical agents, enabling robots to perceive, plan, think, use-tools, and act to better solve complex tasks. We develop advanced Vision Language Action (VLA) models that combine Gemini's world understanding with physical actions to directly control robots. These models include Gemini Robotics (our most advanced Gemini model for the physical world), and Gemini Robotics On-Device (our fastest Gemini model that runs without a data network). We also develop advanced reasoning and agentic systems for the physical world, including: Gemini Robotics-ER, a Gemini agent with advanced spatial understanding and agentic reasoning. These models enable robots to perform a broad range of tasks, respond interactively to their environment, achieve high dexterity, and reason over long multi-step tasks. We are always focused on advancing in all areas of general purpose robotics, including agentic reasoning, real world understanding, action generalization, human robot interaction, dexterity, whole-body-control, continual learning, and more. We partner with key robotics companies to bring this intelligence to the physical world across a broad range of applications at scale
Responsibilities
* Act as the primary technical lead, embedding within partner reviews and planning. Master their technical stack and lead joint surge efforts or workshops to resolve critical blockers and foster a unified culture.
* Translate strategy into joint plans and lead proof-of-concepts to de-risk initiatives. Drive cross-organizational bug resolution and ensure infrastructure consistency across all platforms to prevent fragmented special snowflake setups.
* Own core artifacts like playbooks and scorecards. Manage collaboration tools and establish a regular leadership update cadence to streamline cross-functional alignment and release demonstrations.
* Enable partners through tailored training and seamless onboarding. Boost morale by recognizing joint successes and rewarding high-impact contributors across both teams.
* Analyze the engaged landscape to inform roadmaps. Identify synergies and advocate for high-value initiatives that deepen collaboration and mutual advantage.
