We are looking for an experienced UX researcher to join our client's product team. You will reveal what our client's users need by conducting research, working with cross-functional teams, and performing usability studies. These responsibilities also include inspiring change, delivering oral and written presentations, evaluating both qualitative and quantitative data and helping the UX team better understand what would make a user's experience more intuitive, accessible, and seamless.
You will also have experience working with internal stakeholders and SME'. You will have had experience working within a similar organisational set-up, feeling at ease working either on-site or remotely.
Your primary responsibility will be and include the identification of user needs and goals, tasks and workflow modelling as well as conducting usability testing of EPICs and user feedback across the in-flight project within the Utilities domain. Managing user consistency is also something that will form part of your analysis and testing responsibilities.
You will be working alongside and closely with the senior UX design lead, the product owners, SME's the business and developers.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct primary and secondary user research.
2. Conduct and evaluate qualititative and quantative research.
3. Create UX research artefacts such as personas, journey maps and service blueprints.
4. Work closely with cross-functional project teams to identify and evaluate research topics.
5. Plan and implement user research strategies and methodologies.
6. Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written and oral presentations.
7. Mentor UX members on the team.
8. Perform usability studies with end-users.
9. Create and run test plans, run the testing (moderating), analyse results and compile reports.
10. Create test scripts and testing scenarios of user tasks and journeys.
11. Comfortable leading test and sprint based activities.
12. Comfortable capturing user feedback and aligning it to the UX / product roadmap.
13. Managing stakeholders, the business and developers.
14. Ask questions, gather data, and analyse data.
15. Use a diverse set of UX research tools.
16. A strong appreciation of design, design principles and design / user best practices.
17. Maintain the highest of standards consistently across the program.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
18. Five or more years of UX research and testing experience.
19. Bachelor's or MS in a human behaviour related field (or equivalent and demostratable work experience.)
20. Ability to work closely and support the UX team and business.
21. Ability to quickly and effectively share research results.
22. Ability to perform all research-related tasks including research, planning, evaluating, and iteration.
23. Ability to formulate specific, answerable, and practical questions.
24. Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
25. Comfortable working in agile scrum team environment.
26. Experience with remote testing tools.
27. A strong desire for creative problem-solving with a positive attitude.
28. Excellent time-management skills.
