Salaried/Retainer GP Hereford city 4-6 sessions
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our well established, supportive team, located in the city centre of Hereford. We have apatient list size of 12640 and CQC rating good.
We are looking for a GP for 4-6 sessions perweek including being part of an on call rota, to join our busy and very motivated and supportiveteam from September/October 2025. we are happy to consider GP Retainer applicants for this post.
Main duties of the job
The Practice follows BMA and model contract. 4- 6 session surgeries, 15 minute phone and face to face appointments, a mix of on the day booked and pre booked patients plus one home visits (am session only) .

* Cantilupe Surgery is a city centre practice with a branch surgery based 2 miles away at Hampton Dene, both are modern, purpose built premises.

* Large team of GP's (3 Partners, 3 Salaried) in addition to 1 Registrars, 3 ANP's, 1 Advanced Paramedic, 4 Nurses, 3 HCA's and various admin/ reception support roles along with ARRS roles via PCN
* Routine surgeries - 15 minute face to face appointments, home visits ( one per day) and designated admin time (max of 13 contacts per surgery)
* Strong training ethos, currently 1 GP Registrar in practice
* Monthly team meetings and Significant illness/events meetings/Palliative Care
* Daily 'coffee time' catch up
* 6 weeks annual leave and one week study leave pro rata

Deliverhigh-quality, evidence-based medical care to registered patients duringface-to-face, telephone, and online consultations.
Managea variety of acute, chronic, and complex health conditions.
Conductpatient consultations, examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
Provideappropriate referrals to secondary care and community services as needed.
Contributeto clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
Participatein the practices duty doctor rota and on-call schedule (if applicable).
Accuratelycomplete patient records using the practices clinical system (EMIS)
Supporthealth promotion, disease prevention, and patient education activities.
Engagein regular clinical meetings, CPD, and annual appraisals.
Collaboratewith the multi-disciplinary team (including nurses, pharmacists, ANPs, andsocial prescribers).
SupportGP colleagues by having a flexible work approach to provide that support withinwork plan.t
Person Specification
Experience
* GMC registered
* Fully qualified GP
* Previous GP experience
Qualifications
* GMC registration and inclusion on the GP register.
* Inclusion on a performers list without restrictions.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Excellent communication, clinical, and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to providing patient-centred, high-quality care.
* Experience or interest in teaching, training, or research.
* Special interest in areas such as womens health, mental health, or chronic disease management.
* Familiarity with QOF, Enhanced Services, and the NHS Long-Term Plan.
