Supervisor (MRO)

As a key part of our MRO operations, the Supervisor will lead & manage a diverse team to facilitate the flow of work & tactical delivery of parts through processes (from Launch to Distribution Centre Delivery) in support production plans.

What will I be doing?
* Supervise the Gate 1 and Gate 2 teams, taking accountable for (and to elect & supervise) dedicated focals in your area to control key processes including 5S, Calibration, Maintenance, Health & Safety, Tooling and GPI's.
* Ensure effective people management and to support performance & operational management, training, time and behaviours.
* Ensure that works procedures and SOP's are adhered to at all times.
* Take accountability for Continuous Improvement initiatives including process mapping, kaizen events, 5S etc.
* Champion adherence to the Airworthiness regulations and ensure compliance via robust and accurate works procedure reviews.
This role will be working a 3-shift rotating work pattern, including a day shift, late shift and night shift.
What do I need to succeed in the role?
* Demonstrable experience of leading & managing a high performing team (ideally within an engineering environment).
* A working knowledge of lean principles, to Green Belt level, and how to deploy these effectively to leverage continuous improvement within a defined area of control.
* The ability to adopt an efficient 'hands-on' approach as appropriate.
* Capable of interpreting and communicating KPI's and developing appropriate actions
* Familiarity of 8D and QRQC tools would be advantageous.
