Field Service Engineer
Varied Service Engineer position within a small, but growing, engineering business that operates in the process sector. Predominantly covers the UK (some Ireland) which makes up around 50%–70% of the role; the rest of the time is based at HQ. Door‑to‑door pay with good levels of overtime available. Could suit a recently trained, electrically biased engineer looking to move into a field service role. This position is commutable from Newcastle‑under‑Lyme, Stoke, Sandbach and surrounding areas.
Salary and Benefits
£37,000 to £43,000 as a guide + overtime. 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, 5% pension matched, private healthcare Aviva, pool van for all jobs (can be taken home when needed), overtime at 1.5× for anything over 8 hours a day.
Responsibilities
* Work on customer sites to undertake a range of engineering duties, including servicing, repairs, testing, and modifications.
* When not on site, and working in the office, focus on RAMS, reports, preparing jobs, liaising with customers by telephone/email, and getting parts ready for site. Occasional light assembly work may also be required.
* Work with electrical parts, including drives, PLCs and control panels. Any overlap in skills would be ideal.
Qualifications
* An electrically biased engineer accustomed to (or willing to) travel the UK visiting customer sites.
* Multiskilled or slightly electrically biased in nature.
* Process or automated machinery experience relevant to the role; PLC exposure would have good overlap and training can be given.
* Within a commutable range of Newcastle‑under‑Lyme and able to commute to the office between projects.
* Engineering qualified or apprentice trained.
