Ivy Learning Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join the team at Enfield County School as a Level 3 IT Apprentice. With a starting salary of £16,000 per annum, this role provides a solid foundation in IT support, covering both hardware and software across a dynamic school environment. As part of this apprenticeship, you'll gain hands-on experience while working towards an industry-recognised Level 3 IT qualification. In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Maintain and update a comprehensive database of all IT support and fault requests, ensuring accurate records and, with guidance, prioritising tasks based on urgency and impact. Respond promptly to faults and issues raised through the IT helpdesk system, providing first-line support. Assist staff and pupils with technical issues related to IT hardware, software, and cloud-based applications, delivering clear and effective support. Liaise with external suppliers, service providers, or technical support teams as needed to resolve complex IT issues. Support and maintain a variety of hardware including PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, copiers, interactive whiteboards/panels, and sound systems. Assist with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT equipment and software to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Follow IT policies and procedures to maintain security, confidentiality, and best practice in all support activities. Contribute to continuous improvement of IT support services by reporting recurring issues and suggesting potential solutions. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships. Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge Effective team player with the ability to work independently when required. Grade 5 in English & Grade 4 in Maths High standards of integrity, professionalism, and approachability. Flexible and collaborative mindset, open to working with different teams and adapting to changing priorities. Methodical and organised approach to work, with excellent attention to detail. Commitment to ongoing learning and continued professional development (CPD). Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately. Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. Youll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments.
