In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Maintain and update a comprehensive database of all IT support and fault requests, ensuring accurate records and, with guidance, prioritising tasks based on urgency and impact. Respond promptly to faults and issues raised through the IT helpdesk system, providing first-line support. Assist staff and pupils with technical issues related to IT hardware, software, and cloud-based applications, delivering clear and effective support. Liaise with external suppliers, service providers, or technical support teams as needed to resolve complex IT issues. Support and maintain a variety of hardware including PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, copiers, interactive whiteboards/panels, and sound systems. Assist with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT equipment and software to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Follow IT policies and procedures to maintain security, confidentiality, and best practice in all support activities. Contribute to continuous improvement of IT support services by reporting recurring issues and suggesting potential solutions.
