Job Description
3. Lead all aspects of financial strategy, planning, reporting, and control
4. Act as a senior adviser to the Chief Executive and Board on financial, commercial, and risk matters
5. Oversee statutory compliance, governance, and company secretarial responsibilities
6. Lead and develop the Finance & Operations team, fostering a high‑performance and supportive culture
7. Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, balance sheet control, and year‑end processes
8. Oversee key operational areas including IT strategy, contracts, suppliers, and risk management
9. Support funding negotiations and reporting with Arts Council England and other stakeholders
10. Play a key role in embedding new systems and supporting major strategic initiatives
The Successful Applicant
11. Fully qualified accountant with significant senior finance leadership experience
12. Proven experience operating at SMT or Board level in a complex organisation
13. Strong commercial awareness with excellent financial control and reporting capabilities
14. Confident leader with experience developing teams and managing change
15. Comfortable working in partnership with external stakeholders, funders, and auditors
16. A values‑driven professional with an appreciation for the arts, culture, and charitable impact
What's on Offer
17. Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 depending on experience (relocation support considered)
18. Pension: 5% employer contribution with salary exchange option
