Product Designer Birmingham | Office-based | Full-time £competitive A leading design and innovation studio who are part of a well-established, entrepreneurial group are looking to bring a talented Product Designer on board to specialise in the retail space. The role is based in South Birmingham, full-time in studio and comes with a salary commensurate with experience. We can look at Mid-Weight or Senior level experience. T he Opportunity: Working within a close-knit and highly creative studio, you’ll take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery. From reinventing packaging for existing product lines to developing entirely new structural solutions, your work will have real impact- both creatively and commercially. They are mostly working in paper, card, woman PP and cotton. Whether it’s a small tweak that improves usability or a ground-up redesign that transforms shelf presence, every project is an opportunity to push design thinking and add value. Even the most standard briefs are approached with curiosity and creativity, often delivering solutions the client didn’t even know they needed. And there's real variety here. While the focus is on retail, your design challenges will span in-store and back-of-store packaging; from consumer-facing formats like bakery and food-to-go, to operational solutions that meet hygiene, health, and efficiency standards. No two projects are ever the same, and the collaborative studio culture means you’ll learn, grow, and see your designs come to life on shelves and in stores nationwide. About you: A strong background in product design. Ideally within FMCG but if not, then we do need design for manufacture experience. A portfolio that demonstrates innovation, creativity and problem-solving Experience thinking in 3D, to design in 2D and creating renders and mock-ups for presentation purposes Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and a solid grasp of manufacturing techniques Excellent communication and presentation skills A degree in Product, Industrial or Packaging Design or equivalent hands-on experience Happy to work in-office full time Why Apply?
