Job Title: Secondary Teacher
Location: Cleveland
Salary: £150 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and committed Secondary Teachers to work in schools across Cleveland.

This rewarding role involves delivering high-quality lessons across secondary key stages while supporting students according to the curriculum and syllabus. The successful candidate will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their academic goals, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities of a Secondary Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Teach students across relevant key stages and subject areas
• Support students according to the curriculum and syllabus
• Assess, monitor, and track students’ academic progress
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and encourage active participation
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, and classroom materials
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school staff

Key Requirements of a Secondary Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, ECT/NQT, or equivalent teaching qualification
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a relevant subject area
• Previous experience teaching within secondary schools is desirable
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Passion for teaching and supporting student achievement
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
