Advanced Cardiac Physiologist – Cardiac Rhythm Management Device/EP

Band 7 Advanced Specialist Cardiac Physiologist (Cardiac Rhythm Management) – Fixed term contract for maternity cover, 12 months (Electrophysiology experience desirable).
Main duties of the job
* Independently practise at an advanced specialist level in tertiary cardiology, with a focus on electrophysiology or willingness to train in electrophysiology.
* Independently practise a wide range of cardiac physiology procedures.
* Provide effective day‑to‑day leadership of the cardiac physiology team within the advanced specialist field and other areas when required.
* Participate actively in practical and theoretical training and development of multidisciplinary health‑care professionals, both inside and outside the organisation.
* Participate in cardiac and associated medical research as an integral part of the role.
* Undertake any other duties deemed appropriate to the band when requested by the Principal Cardiac Physiologist.
Qualifications
* BSc Cardiac Clinical Physiology or Healthcare Science
* Clinical Physiology/Healthcare Science or equivalent experience/qualifications
* BHRS or IBHRE in Devices or Electrophysiology
* Teaching qualification
* HCPC or ACHSC accreditation
Experience
* Relevant experience at Band 6 level with professional accreditation
* Practical and formal teaching experience
* Experience working in multidisciplinary team environments
* Tertiary cardiac physiology practice
* Participation in cardiac research
Skills
* Competent to practice a wide range of cardiac diagnostic procedures

Salary
£49,387 to £56,515 per year (Pro Rata)
