Finance Analyst – Supply Chain (Global Depots & Transport)
Location: Islip/Kettering (hybrid 2 – 3 days per week)
Duration: Initial 6 months
Contract Type: Day Rate, Inside IR35
Primark is looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Supply Chain Finance team, supporting 12 global depots and our transport operations. This role sits within a small, collaborative team and is ideal for someone who enjoys heavy reporting, partnering with operational teams, and driving improvements in how data is used across the business.
You’ll support day‑to‑day reporting, period‑end consolidation, and the transition from manual reporting to automated dashboards. Experience with Power BI or similar tools is a strong advantage.
Supply chain, depot, warehousing, or distribution experience is highly preferred.
What You’ll Do
* Support period‑end journals and prepare consolidated summary reports
* Work with Finance Managers across 12 global depots
* Support tax queries, audits, and governance reviews
* Provide key inputs for business cases and investment decisions
* Partner with Senior Finance BPs to deliver insights and recommendations
* Build strong relationships across Supply Chain, FP&A, Strategic Finance, and Operations
* Help transition reporting from manual processes to automated dashboards
* Support transport operations with accurate, timely reporting
* Stay aware of supply chain trends, operational performance, and commercial impacts
What You’ll Bring
* Strong analytical skills and experience working with BI/reporting tools (Power BI preferred)
* Ability to interrogate financial & non‑financial data and build clear, logical models
* Experience in supply chain, depots, warehousing, distribution, retail (preferred)
* Excellent communication and storytelling skills
* Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders
* Strong commercial instinct and ability to interpret operational impacts
* Highly organised, detail‑driven, and comfortable working at pace
* Degree‑educated and ideally a qualified accountant (2–3 years PQE)
