This opportunity is for two Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support K-12 students in an educational setting during the 2025/2026 school year. Situated in Williamsburg, Virginia, these contract positions require a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, primarily serving elementary students with the possibility of supporting secondary students as well.
Responsibilities include assisting in the delivery of speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Candidates will collaborate closely with a teletherapist and must be comfortable facilitating virtual therapy sessions, ensuring students receive effective support through this modality.
Key responsibilities:
* Assist in implementing individualized speech and language therapy plans.
* Support both in-person and virtual therapy sessions in coordination with a teletherapist.
* Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
* Communicate regularly with the supervising speech-language pathologist to ensure treatment goals are met.
* Provide support to students in a K-12 school environment, predominantly elementary level with potential secondary involvement.
Desired qualifications:
* Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant certification.
* Experience working in school settings preferred.
* Comfort and proficiency with teletherapy technologies.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to adapt to changing schedules within the school year contract.
